Nato nel 1981. Mi avvicino alla fotografia già da piccolo grazie a mio papà Paolo Pellion, conosciuto per aver ritratto, sin dagli anni 70’, gli artisti e i lavori dell'Arte Povera e Concettuale. Mi laureo in ingegneria studiando tra Torino, Parigi e Londra.
Nel 2006 mi trasferisco a New York dove cerco e trovo subito i primi lavori commerciali come fotografo: ristoranti per una guida turistica, mobili e appartamenti per la ditta Molteni, ritratti a designer e artisti.
Nel 2009 torno a Torino dove conosco Franco Noero e inizio a fotografare per gli artisti della sua galleria. Da quel momento ho iniziato a viaggiare assiduamente documentando arte contemporanea per conto di noti artisti, galleristi, musei, case d’asta e fiere.
Dal 2015 sono fotografo ufficiale delle fiere Art Basel a Basilea, Hong Kong e Miami.
Born in 1981, I have always been intrigued with photography thanks to Paolo Pellion, my father, known for having documented since the 1970’s work of Arte Povera and Concettuale. I obtained a degree in Industrial Engineering and Production studying in Turin, Paris and London.
In 2006 I moved to New York where I immediately found work opportunities as a commercial photographer: I photographed restaurants for a tour guide agency, kitchens and apartments for the company Molteni, portraits of designers and artists.
When I returned to Turin in 2009 I met Franco Noero and started photographing artists who exhibited their works in his gallery. From that moment I started traveling assiduously, documenting contemporary art on behalf of known artists, art dealers, museums, art galleries and art fairs.
Since 2015 I am the official photographer of Art Basel in Basel, Hong Kong and Miami.
